NEGFA's Leadership Development Program

NEGFA is excited to announce its ELEVATE program. This intensive leadership development program is designed to introduce emerging grain and feed industry leaders to Nebraska’s political system and to Nebraska’s regulatory and state agencies VIPs that work with and oversee the grain and feed industry. Most importantly, ELEVATE will provide an opportunity to meet other emerging leaders across the state who are also working on personal growth and professional development to make Nebraska’s grain and feed industry the best that it can be. Program Requirements

  • Applicant must attend and participate in all sessions.
  • Applicant must be employed by a NEGFA member company for the entire term of the program. In the event that a participant leaves the employment of a NEGFA member and is not employed by another member, their participation in the program will be terminated.
  • Applicant will be asked to pay $1,000 program fee to offset program costs. Upon acceptance an invoice will be sent to each participant and payment will be due prior to the first session. In the event of termination from the program for whatever reason, this fee is nonrefundable.
  • Applicant will be required to participate in social media activities.
Failure to meet any of these requirements will result in immediate termination from the program.


Application Process

NEGFA members can nominate a stand-out young leader from their company, or nominate themselves. Applications will be reviewed by the NEGFA Board of Directors who will make their selections based upon whom they believe will gain the most from the program. Applicants will be notified regarding their application status by September 1, 2019.

The program is limited to 15 participants for an optimal learning experience. One of the key components of the class is to provide an environment which encourages networking and development of individuals' skills and relationships. There will be three, two-day sessions and a visit to Washington, D.C. Each participant is required to attend every day of all sessions.

NEGFA Board of Directors will select ELEVATE Class 1 during the July 31 board meeting.

February 12-13, 2020 in Lincoln, NE
March 11-12, 2020 in Columbus, NE
May 11-14, 2020 in Washington, DC

Costs

Program Fee: $1,000 covers the cost of meals and program incidentals.
Hotels and travel will be the participant's personal responsibility.
