Nebraska Grain and Feed Association is your industry advocate in the state of Nebraska and at the federal level where we work with our national partners the National Grain and Feed Association and American Feed Industry Association.
We are here to find solutions in government and policy for you.
The Association's history is rooted in advocacy. The Nebraska Grain and Feed Dealers Association began with the intent to unite the industry. Instead of many voices seeking organization on the plains in regards to industry best practices, the association brought cohesion to the many groups involved in the storage, inspection, transportation, marketing and safety of grain and feed products.
More than a century later, the association still proudly serves as the voice of grain handlers and feed mills in the state of Nebraska. The association represents 65 percent of Nebraska's grain elevators and cooperatives in the state.
As the registered lobbyist, Kristi Block actively engages with our state senators, representatives and government officials to inform and educate them on proposed legislation, policy and regulations on how these rules affect the grain storage and feed industries. Throughout every legislative session, the association keeps members informed on the day-to-day action through our electronic legislative updates. NeGFA members know when lawmakers are considering legislation that could impact their interests. Action alerts notify members when they should contact their senator regarding upcoming votes. After the session, members receive complementary summaries of the year's legislative activities.
