WORKSHOP SCHEDULE
NGF TENTATIVE SCHEDULE OF WINTER AND SPRING WORKSHOPS
MARK THE DATES & PLAN TO ATTEND!
NGF has tentatively scheduled several workshops and seminars for this winter and the spring of 2012. It's important for us to avoid any conflicts our members may have. Please let us know if any of the tentative dates might conflict with any company or industry events, and let us know what you think!
- JANUARY 10, 2012, HOLIDAY INN CONVENTION CENTER, KEARNEY, NE. NGF member Lemar Industries will present a major half hour presentation on January 10, at noon on the NGF tradeshow floor on their grain moving equipment, and mostly geared to commercial grain operations. We would like to attract as many NGF member company employees as possible, and we are considering offering a tentative Free Elevator Preventive Maintenance Workshops in the morning or afternoon of January 10. Any NGF member attending the preventive maintenance workshop will be encouraged to attend the noon Lemar industries tradeshow presentation and for a small charge receive lunch on the tradeshow floor.
- JANUARY 10th or 11th, 2012, HOLIDAY INN CONVENTION CENTER, KEARNEY, NE. NGF is finalizing the agenda for the annual NGF Fumigation Certification And Recertification Workshop at the Nebraska Ag classic on January 11, 2012. Please look for further details.
- JANUARY 31, 2012, NGF OFFICE BASEMENT CONFERENCE ROOM, 1233 LINCOLN MALL, LINCOLN, NE. NGF Optimal Grain Quality Workshop featuring Dr. Charles R. Hurburgh, Jr., Professor, Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Professor in Charge, Iowa Grain Quality Initiative. Topics will include proper handling and storage of incoming grain, grain conditioning, including aeration and other grain systems needed to provide the optimal quality of grain needed in today's marketplace, including for the production of ethanol.
- FEBRUARY, 2012, DATES AND LOCATIONS TO BE ANNOUNCED. NGF will work with our associate grain broker members to offer two to three Basic Merchandising Short Courses.
- MARCH, 2012, DATES AND LOCATIONS TO BE ANNOUNCED. NGF will again attempt to schedule a Spring Grain Grading Workshop, and a Feed Mill/FDA Compliance Seminar.
- APRIL, 2012, LINCOLN, NE., DATES AND LOCATIONS TO BE ANNOUNCED . NGF will be contacting Grain Service Corporation (GSC) and Diana Klemme with GSC to schedule one or two sessions of the always popular and in-depth Basic Merchandising And Hedging Seminar.
- APRIL, 2012, LINCOLN, NE., DATES TO BE ANNOUNCED. State And Federal Regulatory Summit. The summit will focus on current or pending state and federal rules and regulations affecting the grain elevator and processing industries. The following agencies will make participate; Public Service Commission and the USDA Federal Warehouse Division, State Fire Marshal, Department of Environmental Quality, and the Department’s of Revenue and Economic Development.
- MAY OR JUNE, 2012, LOCATIONS AND DATES TO BE ANNOUNCED. NGF will sponsor a Grain Position Accounting Seminar, including topics dealing with sales contracts, long/short, storage obligations, grain laws, and daily position reports.
THESE ARE WORKSHOPS NGF MEMBERS HAVE ASKED FOR. Obviously, we can schedule as many workshops as we can through the next several months, but we need your participation to carry them through. Please mark these tentative workshops on your calendar today!
