NGF FUMIGATION CERTIFICATION/RECERTIFICATION WORKSHOP WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 17TH, HOLIDAY INN, KEARNEY Study Material for Fumigation, Structural/Health Related Pest Control Available The Nebraska Grain and Feed Association (NGF), in cooperation with the Nebraska Department of Agriculture (NDA), Carl Reed and Poppe Enterprises are proud to present our annual Fumigation Certification Workshop! Study material for those needing to test-out on the Fumigation and/or Structural/Health Related Pest Control is available by contacting NGF. This workshop provides an opportunity for commercial pesticide applicators to test for Initial Certification or Recertification in Category 11 (Fumigation). Topics will include Integrated Pest Management (IPM) in stored grain and processed foods, bird and rodent control, sanitation and bin preparation, grain handling and blending, fumigation of steel and concrete bins, grain aeration and drying, keeping fumigation records and a review of current and new Federal and State regulations. As in years past, the NDA will offer exams at the end of the program for those wanting to become initially certified. Exams take approximately 30-45 minutes each and a person must pass at least 2 exams (Core and Fumigation category) in order to become certified. Additionally, the Structural category exam will be offered for those who will be using products such as liquid formulations or rodent baits. This is the only time of the year NGF sponsors this program, so don’t miss it. Registrations include breaks, workshop materials and lunch. Fumigation – 11 $25.00 + $5.00 for shipping and handling. Covers restricted use pesticide applications made using fumigants in gaseous or solid form, within enclosed gas-tight spaces for a wide variety of conditions and commodities, including raw agricultural products. Structural/Health Related Pest Control - 08 $30.00 + $5.00 for shipping and handling. Covers restricted use pesticide applications to protect in, on or around commercial structures, food-handling, processing and warehouses for anyone making applications for hire or compensation in this category. Applicant must be licensed for both general and restricted use pesticides.
